ISO quality standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, and a process approach for continual development. This standard helps to ensure that our customers get consistent, good-quality services that meet applicable statutory and regulatory requirements. The ISO conduct an audit of all our process and management principles annually to ensure we remain compliant. We have continued to achieve this accreditation since 2010 and are certified until 2024.
OwnLife has now joined the Disability Confident scheme to help recruit and retain great people. As an employer that provides care and support to children and young people we thought it important to have a diverse and inclusive workforce. We wish to recruit high-quality staff who are skilled, loyal and hard working and challenge attitudes whilst increasing understanding of disabilities. We feel this will improve staff morale and commitment by demonstrating that OwnLife is committed to demonstrating fair treatment and providing positive role models for our Young People.
We are currently Level 1 – (Committed) and aim to progress through the levels to achieve Level 3 – (Leader) in Disability Confidence.
